They are not afraid to dream, and to yearn for everything they would like to see happen to them in their lives. But, as time passes, a mysterious force begins to convince them that it will be impossible for them to realize their destiny."
~"The Alchemist" Paulo Coelho
Yeah I know I quote him a lot but I just finished 2 of his books and they're what inspired me to write my latest blog =) What he says and you say though is so true, I had millions of dreams when I was little and now that I'm (somewhat) grown I realize that maybe some of the things I'd dreamt of as a kid I could've made come true if I wouldn't have "grown up" per se. I see now that I can't blame other people for not pursuing my dreams, if anything my parents and friends were backing me all the way....it was that "mysterious force"..it was fear. As you'll probably not ever be a gymnast, or jockey, or concert pianist, I'll never be a supermodel (but I'll darn sure act like one), or a pro surfer, or be married to George Clooney...but...

"it's a force that appears to be negative, but actually shows you how to realize your destiny. It prepares your spirit and your will, because there is one great truth on this planet: whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it's because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. It's your mission on earth."
~"The Alchemist" Paulo Coelho

....and that's how I know now that I can make my dreams come true, even though I may harvest fear within me it's there to challenge me, test my willingness to make my dreams come true. I will make my dream of travel come true. No doubt! haha =)
Sorry this comment is so long, I get going on these philosophical rants. Your words inspired me =)
I love you.

“But there is suffering in life, and there are defeats. No one can avoid them. But it's better to lose some of the battles in the struggles for your dreams than to be defeated without ever knowing what you're fighting for.” (who do you think this quote is by? duh! Coelho) haha.Kailanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07908602929980188890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4982069049641262423.post-75234694176572138612007-12-10T22:26:00.000-06:002007-12-10T22:26:00.000-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.Kailanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07908602929980188890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4982069049641262423.post-17050389046681519742007-12-10T13:46:00.000-06:002007-12-10T13:46:00.000-06:00Hm, you are right, my young apprentice.
